Biceps Explained

by Nov 30, 2021Fitness0 comments

The biceps with its full name being biceps brachii is called that way because it has two heads.

Both heads of the muscle arise on the scapula and join to form a single muscle belly which is attached to the upper forearm.

As you probably already know the biceps acts to flex the elbow and pretty much every guy wants bigger biceps.

So the question is how do you get them.

The obvious but false answer would be to do a bunch of biceps curls and different isolation exercises, to blast your biceps in every workout.

The problem with this is that biceps are actually a fairly small muscle group that don’t need that much and sometimes no isolation whatsoever.

You will see better total muscle growth if you focus on compound pulling exercises.

Like rows pull ups and lat pull downs.

They work the back and the biceps and also allow you to lift more total weight.

Only at the end of your workout should you add one or two bicep isolation exercises like dumbbell or easy bar curls.

HAMSTRINGS

The hamstrings are a group of muscles at the rear of the upper leg.
They flex the knee joint, adduct the leg and extend the thigh to the backside of the body.
They’re made up of a long head and a short head.

Supplements Overview

The last step in setting up your fitness diet is adding supplements.

Like I said in the beginning, supplements aren’t important at all.

In fact you could see great results without ever using one.

Also most supplements are completely hyped and overpriced.

Supplement brands literally spend hundreds of millions of dollars each year to sell you their new product.

That said there are a few supplements that I think makes sense to add to your diet.

The list is very short and all of them are pretty cheap.

Here’s what I’m talking about.

Back Muscles Explained

The back includes some of the most massive and functionally important muscles in your entire body.

Together they enable you to stand up straight, support your spine and pull, reach and or extend your arms.

Because the back is so big, It’s made up of multiple muscle groups that you should be familiar with.
